Borussia Dortmund thrashed FC Augsburg 3-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday, thanks to goals from Thomas Vermaelen, Christian Eriksen, and Thomas Nofl. The German giants were led by a strong display, as Borussia Dortmund took full advantage of their home advantage and put up a dominant performance.

Vermaelen opened the scoring in the 19th minute after he scored a powerful strike from close range that found its way into the bottom corner of the net. This was followed by Eriksen's goal just four minutes later, who converted a free-kick following a well-taken header from the right side of the box.

Thomas Nofl added his name to the list of goals for Dortmund when he scored a penalty in the 66th minute, after being denied by the goalkeeper before firing the ball past the post.

Despite the dominance of Dortmund, FC Augsburg had some chances to level the score, but they couldn't find the back of the net. However, the final result was more than enough for the Germans, who will be looking forward to the return fixture against Hoffenheim next weekend.
