Brighton have confirmed that they have extended the contract of Argentine midfielder, Mac Allister, until 2027. The 25-year-old has been a key player for the Seagulls since joining from River Plate in 2019 and has made over 100 appearances for the club so far. Allister's contract was set to expire at the end of this season but he has now signed a new deal until 2027. Manager Graham Potter said: "Mac is one of our most important players and I'm delighted to extend his stay with us." Allister himself added: "I've had a fantastic time at Brighton and I'm really happy to be staying here for another three years." The signing of Allister by Brighton has been seen as a coup for the club, who were struggling in the Premier League last season before turning things around under the management of Potter. The midfielder's arrival has helped to improve the team's defensive record and he has also contributed with goals and assists on the pitch. Allister's contract renewal will hopefully give the club some much-needed stability going forward and will help them to compete for silverware in the coming seasons. |
